Had dropped by at Levington earlier not expecting any sailors and more to see conditions. Pouring with rain and strong steady wind and Paul and Mark D packing up after what looked like a great session. Picked gear up and headed for Felixstowe. Golf looked great surf but tried Fludyers as wind forecast to swing off later. No one there and sea looked messy as sea straight on shore. Went back and launched off Golf and big shore dump. Peter also out on 4.5m. Strong currents and once passed them sailed opposite Dip where sea was best. Some very big chop around and occassional breaking waves on sandbanks that were scarey so stayed clear of them. Found nicer parts to sail in and some cracking gybes, also quite a few catches in the chop. Vey enjoyable 45 mins before wind dropped well off. Changed from 4.7 to 5.2 but by then 7m would have done.

Sand bar gown considerably so there is now a vary large flat water area stretching out from the river mouth which Pete tried; said it was a bit shallow though. Interesting.
